Hi, I'm makemassair

My passions in life are video post production, graphic design and music.

For me, getting into creative visual design work has been my aim since before I can remember. Originally I wanted to be an architect, then when I was about 14 or 15, through 2 great Design & Technology teachers, I was properly introduced to Graphic Design.

From there I continued with it, taking it through A-Levels to College where I undertook a 2 year National Diploma, and whilst there I also did an A-Level in Photography. So when it came to University it was a fairly obvious choice. I chose a joint degree in Advertising , Art Direction, Photography & Video. Despite getting on well with course tutors and fellow students I didn't so much get on with the advertising and art direction half of my degree. I was, however, getting on with the photography and video side of it. Video in particular.

And as things develop, so did my interest in video and I guess it has followed since from my earlier interests in graphic design that I am most interested in the post production side of work with video.

My creative interest in music is primarily concerned with pushing and promoting music, rather than making it. I've tried making music in the past but I don't so much have the knack for it as I do with visual design. So it was only natural that as my interest grew I became a DJ.

I am reliably informed that I can pick a good tune or two, of which I pick several every other week on my radio show: MANTIS (the darkfloor electronica radio show) as well as DJing about here and there. I also co run the music label: midnightminustwo.
