Just a quickie to let you know that I am having a mix aired on the London station Resonance FM this Tuesday for the rather spiffing Marvin Suicide show.

Awesome news. MANTIS has been featured in the dance music magazine FREEZE. It’s based in Greece and as such it’s all greek to me. Funny that. Huge love goes out to Vasilis (who is an artist I’ve played on the show quite a number of times as Fabrics) for spreading the word and for providing a translation. Well, I was planning to make these a bit more regular. Volume.01 came out late last year. I am currently slowly compiling Volume.03

Basic concept behind this series is to compile, blend, mix and present textures of sound, ambient structures, stripped beats and to develop depth. This is sound designed to be enjoyed whilst heavily relaxed or to induce relaxation.

Anyways, enjoy. Let me know what your thoughts on this. Artwork is by myself (makemassair, contact if you’re after arty stuff) as well as the photography. Which is my cat on the front cover and I think myself on the back cover.

Just to let you know that this blog hasn’t died or anything silly. Granted there hasn’t been an update in about a month. Yea, sorry about that.

Combination of the new version of Wordpress glitching out the blog, being unable to resolve it and having flatline internet access at home. Now I could update the blog from work I hear you cry. Well yes, but my current workload is rather immense and I have very little doss time haha.

Anyways… the site is slowing getting together. The radio pages have just been updated and will be updated again later today with MANTIS016.

Also, got news of a new project happening on the 31st May.

My word. MANTIS012 with the Lawgiverz was something else entirely. It would be criminal for you not to check that show out. The forthcoming beats and bass coming from that production duo is well worth your attention. For MANTIS013 we offer up our 3rd live showcase. This time from NeuTek.

SHOWCASE
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, our spinoff night neuroMANTIS has been put on hold (although we should be back on track in May). Our headliner from our event was, and shall be, NeuTek. So to make sure noone misses out we’re getting him down the to MANTIS HQ to do us a live showcase for our 13th show. NeuTek is part of the Centrifuge crew of circuit bending, electronic sound producing and visual warping maniacs. He’ll be bringing round some custom built / warped / tweaked / and broken electronics to deliver his hour of sound for us. We’re quite excited.

We’ll keep you posted on neuroMANTIS, but in the meantime tune in on the 15th or catch us on the podcast/archives (details below)
